Functions of the Department
1. The best brains across the globe may go waste, if the ideas generated by them are not marketed properly. Similarly, the best products ever conceived may not see the light of the day and benefit the target audience, if they do not get marketed or sold. Except charities & social services, no enterprise can ever sustain itself and grow employment opportunities, unless it successfully and cost-effectively markets its products or services and generates profits.
2. Understanding these very basics, the Marketing Department at Alpha Plus is required to play the most important role starting from market research till purchase by potential users. In fact, the function of the department also extends beyond initial sale to ensuring continued customer satisfaction with the products.
3. Marketing is an indispensable and critically important department which has to play strategic part in the constant growth of Alpha Plus, and its competitive and distinct advantage over several other giants in the software development field. The importance of the department at Alpha Plus gets accentuated with the latest developments in India, whereby all major software services companies are also entering into software products field, bringing in more competition and necessitating innovative marketing strategies.
4. Also, marketing at Alpha Plus involves customer education for its futuristic, most innovate and cost saving software products, the need for which exists, but the customers do not realize, mainly because the they do not know the impact of hidden costs & efforts being incurred by them day-in and day-out. A classic example, is wasteful cost & effort involved in storage of PDF files as against HTML files; the former taking higher Disk / RAM / Bandwidth space and requiring PDF converter as well as reader, the latter requiring minimal Disk / RAM / Bandwidth space and no other tools for conversion or reading files .

  Senior Business Development Executive 
Role and Responsibilities
1. Follow up the leads assigned to them and arrange timely meeting with the prospective clients
2. Generate leads for new business opportunities from existing & new clients
3. Give presentation of the products to the clients
4. Prepare and submit quotes to the prospective client with prior approval of V.P.
5. Undertake active and timely follow-up for early closing of deal
6. Drive forward company's sales objectives and achieve assigned Sales Targets
7. Assist team members in product presentations when needed
8. Handle negotiations and finalize business deals
9. Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities and alliances in related areas
10. Track market intelligence particularly relating to new opportunities and competition, related to company's products
11. Assist in developing innovative ways for product promotion
12. Assist in devising product pricing strategies
13. Manage budget allocations
14. Conduct periodic reviews of the team and report the progress to the V.P - Marketing
15. Actively involve self and other team members in Client Relationship Management (CRM)
16. Gather periodic feedback from the clients using our products and pass on the same to the management
17. Any other roles/responsibilities as may be assigned by V.P. - Marketing
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Engineering / MBA / Post Graduation or any other professional qualification
Experience
* Minimum 2 - 4 years experience in marketing IT Services / Solutions (Software), preferably to Banking and/or Financial sector(s), with proven track-record of revenue generation
* Experience in engaging with high-profile as well as mid-profile clients
* Domain knowledge of Banking/Financial sectors would be a plus
Skills Required
* Should have a pleasing personality and excellent communication skills
* Highly motivated, skillful, dynamic and result oriented
* Should be willing to travel across the country by any means
* Leadership skills would be considered as an added advantage
* Should be ready to work independently
* Should have resilience, patience, and commitment to endure long sales cycles where applicable
